I’ve had my ps3 for almost a year and until recently I never used it for gaming. I bought it primarily as a mythtv front end video player, a dvd player, and a blu-ray player. When I bought it it worked as a dvd player and a blu-ray player, but I was disappointed when it only played non-hd content from mythtv. A recent software update got it playing HD video from mythtv and so all is well with the world. Around Christmas time I decided I wanted to pick up a few games for the ps3 since it is primarily a gaming console. The games would make for good inexpensive long term entertainment. The two games that interested me most were Prince of Persia and Call of Duty World at War. I got Prince of Persia for Christmas and picked up Call of Duty plus Fallout 3 shortly afterwards(for only $39.00 each!), and now I’m completely addicted to gaming on the ps3. To add to the mix my wife got Little Big Planet for Christmas, and she bought me The Orange Box. Little Big Planet is surprisingly fun and addictive! Now I just need to find time to win all the trophies on these new games!
